Hi, I’m Sanjay Gandhi, a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Oracle Healthcare, with over six years across Oracle, Google, and Amazon.

At Oracle, I lead an 8-engineer Clinical Reporting team across 3 products. My major focus is Medical Record Output Generation, or MRO Gen2, which I built from 0 to 1. Its 7 microservices generate varying medical reports using different content types, data, and output formats.

XR and DEX are MRO’s Gen1 equivalents, and my team and I own their KTLO work. My major learnings have been mentoring engineers, creating effective processes, and owning microservices end to end.

Before Oracle, I was part of Google Search, specifically the Search India Education team. I developed features displayed directly on the Search results page, reaching 100M+ educational users on a product serving 1B+ queries per day. Examples include the Exam Quiz feature and the Periodic Table in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

One of my most challenging projects was migrating a Search experience from an entity-driven to an intent-driven architecture. I also worked across multiple languages in the Search monorepo, which has 2B+ lines of code and 10M+ files. This taught me to understand and debug unfamiliar systems and collaborate effectively across teams.

In my third year of college, Amazon visited our campus to hire for a 9-month internship. I received a direct full-time offer instead. In Amazon Finance Automation, 3 anomaly-detection rules identified over 100M USD in their first month and reduced reporting latency from 24 hours to about 5 minutes.

I’m also regularly involved in hiring. My background includes competitive programming and problem setting, and I currently serve as a Senior Key Interviewer and recognized Bar Raiser at Oracle.

I’m now excited to take on greater leadership responsibilities and more challenging technical problems.
